Wishing a good and sweet new year to all of my readers....
This is one of the doors of the Rumbach St. synagogue... coincidentally (it has just occurred to me as I was typing this) the very first photo posted here on ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) irecha featured the very same building. I have come full circle ;]
"Shaar haShamaim" means "Gate of the Heavens" and is also a name of a Kabbalist yeshiva in Jerusalem (The real thing, not the Madonna media mamma mia whatever *shrug*) and a synagogue in India! (OK, I cheated, the latter is from a last minute google...)

De a képen nem a Vasvári, hanem a Rumbach utcai zsinagóga, csak most esett le nekem is, hogy az irecha legeslegelső fotóján szintén...
"Sáár háSámáim" - a Mennyek Kapuja. Egyébiránt meg egy kabbalista jesiva Jeruzsálemben (most nem Madonnára kell gondolni, hanem komolyabb dolgokra) meg hoppá, szól Google bácsi, egy zsinagóga Indiában!

Rumbach St. synagogue / Rumbach utcai zsinagóga
Here is yet another preview from my comic - tell me if you'd prefer something else instead, I'm going the easy way since I'm drawing my comic anyway, and I have to post something here too ;] But this one is an actual photo... well, it was one, before I unleashed Photoshop on it to blend it into the rest of the page :P This is the background of a panel - I've removed the figures because they're not of much interest without the rest of the story. A fight scene in Chapter 1 is going to be set in front of the Rumbach St. synagogue. (Or, to be more precise, a representation of it, since the fight isn't going to take place in physical reality. No, it's nothing of the usual VR stuff either, but I'm keeping my mouth shut for the time being, and I trust miou_vicioso is going to do the same ^_- )
I'm going to tell you something else about it till after Shabbes.
Íme még egy kis előzetes a képregényemből... szóljatok, ha már nagyon unjátok :D Bevallom, lusta vagyok, és ha már úgyis rajzolok, meg ide is fel kéne tölteni valamit... de ez most a változatosság kedvéért tényleg fénykép, csak "kicsit" belenyúltam. Az egyik képkocka háttere lesz, a figurákat leszedtem róla, a történet nélkül az úgyse olyan érdekes. Amit láthattok, az a Rumbach utcai zsinagóga, ez előtt fognak hőseink rögtön az első részben fightolni. Vagyis pontosabban valamiféle reprezentációja előtt, mert nem a fizikai valóságban lesznek (de nem is a megszokott VR cuccról van szó, hanem valami egészen másról, majd meglátjátok. Reméljük, miou_vicioso se spoilerezi le :P ).
Sábesz után még mondok valamit erről a képről...

Rumbach Street synagogue. | Rumbach utcai zsinagóga.
This amazing facade is hidden in a narrow alleyway. Worse still, the actual building behind the facade is crumbling away even as I type this, because of an ownership debate. The huge synagogue is empty (save the debris) and unused. One party claims ownership but wants the state to restore the building, the other wants to purchase it from the state and restore it using its own funds, while the state... erm, does nothing. They say the two parties - two Jewish communities - should agree on matters first of all.
Ez a fantasztikus homlokzat egy szűk sikátorba van eldugva, de még ennél is rosszabb, hogy a mögötte található épület erősen összedőlőfélben van. A zsinagóga egy tulajdonjogi vita miatt (itt lehet olvasni róla a HVG-n) üresen áll és várja végső pusztulását...
